Formscan By Donal Murphy - I'll side with TOPOFTHEGAME here over Delta Work and Santini. The towering son of Flemensfirth won a point-to-point on debut at Belclare, the same Galway venue where Best Mate was successful back in 1999. Subsequently sold to current connections for 120,000 pounds, the chestnut gelding went down by just a neck in the Coral Cup twelve months ago. He has filled the runner-up spot on both of his starts to date over fences, finding La Bague Au Roi just a length and a half too good on his most recent outing in the Grade 1 Kauto Star Novices' Chase at Kempton on St Stephen's Day. He had Santini a further two lengths behind him there, and he should be able to confirm the form with that rival now. The big Irish hope here is Delta Work. He won the Pertemps Network Final at the Festival twelve months ago, and is a perfect three from three since switching to fences. He was far from impressive on his debut over the larger obstacles at Down Royal in November, but was much improved on his subsequent starts at Fairyhouse and Leopardstown respectively. On The Blind Side and The Worlds End are tried in cheekpieces for the first time, and both look to have solid each-way claims.
