Formscan By Alan Magee - THEQUIETMAN made a pleasing debut on testing ground at Leopardstown back in April when runner-up to Ecureuil Secret who is now rated 100. The Joseph O’Brien-trained gelding, who cost 235,000 guineas at the Newmarket Breeze Up Sale last year, has not been seen since but given normal improvement should be difficult to beat. Monasterboice has been a model of consistency this year and made the frame for the fourth time when third to Four Blondes at Fairyhouse last week. John Steinbeck has a superb pedigree but wasn’t too strong in the market before taken out of that Fairyhouse maiden due to the going.
