The Raceday Stewards enquired into possible interference in the closing stages involving Delta (GB), ridden by D
McMonagle, placed first, and Edelak, ridden by J.A. Heffernan, placed second, where it appeared interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. J.A. Heffernan stated that Delta was always clear of him. D. McMonagle stated that his mount rolled around up the straight but was clear of Edelak. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards made no alteration to the Judge’s placings and were satisfied that no further action was warranted

J.A. Heffernan, rider of Edelak, trained by J.P. Murtagh, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that he used his whip down the shoulder for corrective purposes. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no breach of Regulation 10 had occurred and took no further action
