Permission was given for Dark Tornado (IRE) to wear a red hood to the start and for Rhythm Master (IRE) to wear a hood in the Parade Ring only.
An enquiry was held to consider interference approaching the final furlong involving the winner, Mr Chaplin (GB), ridden by Jack Dace, Whitcombe Rockstar (GB), unplaced, ridden by Josephine Gordon, and Dark Tornado (IRE), unplaced, ridden by John Egan.
Dace was suspended for 2 days for careless riding for allowing his horse to drift left-handed when insufficiently clear causing Gordon to take a check on Whitcombe Rockstar (GB) which in turn resulted in Dark Tornado (IRE) becoming unbalanced.
Following the race, the representative of Denis Quinn reported that Dark Tornado (IRE), unplaced, made a respiratory noise.
