Approximately 1 ½ furlongs out, Whip Cracker (IRE), placed second, stepped left-handed taking Killybegs Warrior (IRE), unplaced, and Toimy Son (FR), unplaced, slightly off their intended lines causing Toimy Son (FR) to make contact with Urban Sprawl (GB), unplaced.
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and it had not improved the placing of Whip Cracker (IRE).
Following the race, Ryan Moore reported that Boyfriend (GB), placed fifth, stumbled leaving the stalls, Jack Mitchell reported that Dutch Decoy (GB), unplaced, stumbled leaving the stalls and Colin Keane reported that Alpha Crucis (IRE), unplaced, was denied a clear run inside the final furlong.
