Una Matata wins Dundalk’s opening claimer
She's solid and in that grade she is always dangerous. She had a lot to do - she missed the break there, but she did it fairly well. They went a good gallop and Sam's seven (claim) helped. We needed the seven the way she jumped out. She wasn't a dear filly and if someone claims her here tonight, we are still walking out of here with plenty of money off her. Hopefully we can retain her if we can, but I won't be crying if someone does claim her. She should win again.
McGuinness completes Dundalk double
I thought the six (furlongs) was sharp enough for her the last day and seven is more of her thing. She's solid, is a gamey little filly and she has really hit her stride. She might get into Lingfield (Good Friday) and I think she will handle a bit of juice in the ground, so there's plenty of options there for her. I was going to run her a few weeks ago, but she was out of the handicap and I said no, as I don't like giving weight back to the handicapper. Whether we keep her going for the year or sell her, we’ll see but she will be a great fun filly for someone.

Heffernan belatedly gets in with Flynn
that's Seamie's first winner for me, it is hard to believe as when I started in Jim Bolger's, Seamie looked after me. That was a long time ago and I never give him any rides as he normally booked, but I love to use Seamie when I can. We were debating whether to claim off him but young Adam Grant, who has won on him, is suspended so we just said we would go with experience. He missed the break a little last time and the young lad did well to get him up there. Tonight, he didn't miss the break, so that was to save ground. He came home nicely.
Roche gives Genoah ‘the perfect ride’
that was a class ride and was as good a ride as I have seen Leigh give one - it was perfect. He just got up on the line, what more can you say. It wasn't a straightforward race and it was a messy. They jumped and went along early and then they steadied it up. this horse was the last Flat winner of the year in 2025 and now he's our first of ‘26. We never really had a doubt that he would get today’s (1m4f) trip but it now gives us more options. We actually feel with the way he hit the line there that we might even step him up further. He might get a little freshen up now and we'll bring him back for a bit of nice ground in the summer. I'm sure Justin (O'Hanlon, race planner) has a little bit of a plan and we'll sit down and chat about that.
Mythical Rock gains deserved first success
he has been a very frustrating horse for connections as the days we think he will win, he lets us down. However I felt the way he finished off the last day, there would be a day in him. Nothing was really coming to me turning in, so I said I would try and slip the field and he has toughed it out well. Usually, he's a horse that when he gets to the front, he idles and he half-parked today. I pulled my whip through though and he saw it out very well. that's my fourth winner, I had three in the space of two weeks and then nothing for about five months. Pat has a nice couple of horses to go to the turf and I get great support from Henry (de Bromhead) and Danny McLoughlin as well, so hopefully I will start to roll on the turf.
Without Love overcomes traffic to win Dundalk’s finale
He likes that surface and improved a lot from two weeks ago. We gave him a spin on the beach last Sunday when he went from Laytown to Mornington and we knew he was in good form. He got stopped in running so did well to get up there in the end. Wes has ridden a bit of work for us recently, he is a good lad, a hard worker and comes to meets us in Skyrne or the Curragh to ride work.
