The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident inside the final furlong where it appeared Letters Of Love, ridden by D. McMonagle briefly ran short of room. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted
W.M. Lordan, rider of Shamanka, trained by Natalia Lupini, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was a bit messy in the gates
The Raceday Stewards requested a report from C.W.J. Farrell, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Weegeebear, placed first, as compared with its most recent run. Richie Fagan, Representative for C.W.J. Farrell stated that he was unable to offer any explanation for his previous run but suggested that the fast pace today and passing horses may have contributed to the improvement in form. Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards noted the explanation given.
