An enquiry was held to consider the circumstances into why the provisional placings were incorrectly announced by the Judge as Tip Top Tonto (IRE) third instead of Gold Wing (GB), prior to being corrected before the weighed in signal was given.
The Judge and the Betting Ring Manager were interviewed.
Having heard their evidence, the Stewards ordered a report be forwarded to the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority for further consideration.
Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that Rose Above It (IRE), which was pulled up, was lame on its right fore and that Tip Top Tonto (IRE), which fell, was lame on its left fore.
