Leaving the stalls, Amor Cordis (IRE), unplaced, jumped right-handed at the same time as Sands Of Havana (GB), placed fifth, lugged slightly left-handed resulting in Latona (IRE), unplaced, and Miakoda (IRE), unplaced, becoming unbalanced after giving each other a significant bump, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Sands Of Havana (GB).
Following the race, Donagh Murphy reported that Sands Of Havana (GB), placed fifth, ran too free; Pat Cosgrave reported that Miakoda (IRE), unplaced, ran too free; Edward Greatrex reported that Amor Cordis (IRE), unplaced, ran too free and Charlie Bennett reported that Kaleidoscope Eyes (IRE), unplaced, was slowly away.
