Permission was given for Jumeira Vision (IRE), to be mounted in the chute and go early to post.
Approximately one furlong after the start, a hard-pulling True Nation (IRE), placed fourth, shifted left- handed tightening up Lhebayeb (GER), unplaced, for racing room, which in turn inconvenienced Miss Raindrop (GB), unplaced, on the rail.
As a result Rohilla (IRE), unplaced, which was following had to be checked by its rider to avoid the heels of Miss Raindrop (GB), but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of True Nation (IRE).
Rounding the first bend, a free running Sun Festival (GB), unplaced, jinked left-handed and made contact with Rohilla (IRE), unplaced, which was squeezed for room on the rail and in the process resulted in Sun Festival (GB) being hampered itself, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
The winner, Jumeira Vision (IRE), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Wolverhampton on 14 December 2024, where the gelding finished tenth of eleven runners, beaten 11 3/4 lengths.
Katie Scott’s explanation that Jumeira Vision (IRE) benefitted from being able to race more prominently on this occasion having obtained cover, was noted.
Following the race, Joe Leavy reported that Major Major (IRE), placed third, hung left-handed in the closing stages of the race.
