The Raceday Stewards interviewed G.B. Noonan, rider of Hungry Henry, trained by Eoin Christopher McCarthy, where it appeared that G.B. Noonan continued riding when his mount was tailed off. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that his mount is an ungenuine sort and while he was tailed off, he had plenty more to give. He added as his mount had pulled up last time out, he was trying to get him to finish today. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards noted the explanation given and reminded G.B. Noonan of his obligations in relation to Rule 216
At the request of the Raceday Stewards, Niall Moore, rider of Lion Of The Desert, trained by Patrick John Kiely, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was difficult at the start of the race, raced keenly early on and made a mistake at the third last hurdle.
