uk HANDICAP STAKES (CLASS 6) Permission was given for Pangbourne (GB) and City Of Dreams (IRE) to wear a red hood to post.
An enquiry was held to consider interference inside the final half furlong involving Pangbourne (GB), placed second, ridden by Jack Nicholls and City Of Dreams (IRE), placed fourth, ridden by Callum Rodriguez.
Nicholls was suspended for 3 days for careless riding as he allowed Pangbourne (GB) to drift left-handed over some distance without correction, ultimately causing Rodriguez to take a check.
The Stewards were of the opinion that this incident had cost City Of Dreams (IRE) third place, for which it was beaten by a head margin.
Following the race, Callum Rodriguez reported that City Of Dreams (IRE), placed fourth, suffered interference inside the final furlong; Gina Mangan reported that she became badly unbalanced as a result of losing her left iron on Risk Averse Rebel (IRE), placed third, for a short distance approximately two furlongs out and Jack Mitchell reported that his saddle slipped approaching the final furlong, causing him to lose his left iron on Time To Sparkle (GB), unplaced, which was eased down thereafter.
