The Raceday Stewards received a report from the Clerk of the Scales, that M. Popan, rider of Guinelot (FR), had presented to weigh out at 2lbs overweight, none of which had been declared. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that he was just back from his holidays and apologised for his actions. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards allowed M. Popan to ride Guinelot having consulted with the trainer and found the rider in breach of Rule 198(vii)(A) and having considered his clean record in this regard they fined him €150
J.S. Dalton, rider of Sunrise Angel, trained by Andrew Slattery, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung right up the straight
P. McGettigan, rider of Pepper Noir, trained by John C. McConnell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled
