D.P. McDonogh, rider of Huff'n'puff (GB), trained by Henry de Bromhead, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was hampered near the line
C.D. Hayes, rider of Bay Of Stars (GB), trained by D. K. Weld, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran too free
The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident close to the line involving Huff'n'puff (GB), ridden by D.P
McDonogh, Bay Of Stars (GB), ridden by C.D. Hayes and Pierre Grosse (GB), ridden by K.G. Kennedy where it appeared interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. D.P. McDonogh stated that he received a bump from his inside close to the line. C.D. Hayes stated that he received pressure from the inside but that it was so close to the line that it made no difference to his finishing position. K.G. Kennedy stated that his mount switched leads and went off his line which he immediately attempted to correct. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted
