Permission was given for Insanity (GB) to wear a red hood to post.
Rounding the first bend after start, Creatif (IRE), placed fourth, lugged quickly left-handed, resulting in a free running Annaghmccanns (IRE), unplaced, to be crowded for room and have to switch off heels.
But after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Creatif (IRE).
The winner, Insanity (GB), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Newmarket on 03 May 2025 where the gelding finished sixth of seven, beaten by 15 ½ lengths.
Alan King’s representative’s explanation that the gelding may have stripped fitter for its previous run at Newmarket was noted.
Insanity (GB) was routine tested.
