An enquiry was held into an incident in the chute on the way to the start involving Jim Crowley, rider of Arabie (GB) and Kevin Stott, rider of Simmering (GB).
The riders were interviewed and shown recordings of the incident, both riders explained that the loose horse, Shazani (FR), was being unruly and extremely coltish and for safety reasons in attempt to prevent an accident or injury to any horse or rider, both riders waved their hands and pro-cushion at Shazani (FR).
Stott added that being on a filly he felt there was more risk of an injury to himself or Simmering (GB) and felt it prudent to warn off Shazani (FR).
