Permission was given for Giant (GB) and Tribal Wisdom (IRE) to wear a red hood to post.
Leaving the stalls, Zak Wheatley the rider of Giant (GB), drawn 7, had removed his blindfold in a normal and timely manner, however in throwing the blindfold to his left it had landed on the head of Charlie Bell, the rider of Farasi Lane (IRE), drawn 6, and Bell's vision had been obscured for several strides until he was able to successfully remove it.
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was considered to be accidental.
An enquiry was held to consider interference approaching the first bend involving Mr Baloo (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Alec Voikhansky and Shihoku (FR), placed second, ridden by Cieren Fallon.
Voikhansky was cautioned for careless riding as he allowed Mr Baloo (IRE) to edge left-handed when not fully clear of Shihoku (FR) causing Fallon to take a brief check.
Approaching the final furlong, a weakening Giant (GB), unplaced, drifted right-handed at the same time as Mr Baloo (IRE), unplaced, edged marginally left-handed causing Zryan (FR), placed fifth, to become crowded for room and to make contact with Giant (GB) unbalancing both runners.
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
