An enquiry was held to consider interference approaching 2 furlongs involving Kolsai (GB), unplaced , ridden by Finley Marsh; Farasi Lane (IRE), placed third, ridden by Charlie Bell; Sheikh Raj (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Billy Loughnane; Boubyan (IRE), placed fifth, ridden by Hollie Doyle and Book Of Life (GB), unplaced, ridden by James Sullivan.
Sam James, the rider of Flame Of Forest (IRE), placed second and Marco Ghiani, the rider of the winner, Advancing (GB), were also interviewed but found not to be involved.
Being a 7lb claiming apprentice Bell was offered to be accompanied in the enquiry but declined.
The interference was found to be accidental as Kolsai (GB) had weakened quickly turning into the home straight causing Doyle to check off that gelding’s heels and in doing so shifted right-handed making contact with Sheikh Raj (IRE), moving Loughnane off his intended line.
Sheikh Raj (IRE) in turn gave a bump to Farasi Lane (IRE) which resulted in that gelding giving a nudge to Book Of Life (GB) causing the gelding to become briefly unbalanced.
Following the race, Hollie Doyle reported that Boubyan (IRE), placed fifth, suffered interference approaching 2 furlongs out.
Finley Marsh reported that Kolsai (GB), unplaced, weakened quickly approximately 2 furlongs out.
Billy Loughnane reported that Sheikh Raj (IRE), unplaced, suffered interference approaching 2 furlongs out.
