Ian Williams was fined £140 for doubly declaring Hackney Diamonds (GB) to run in the 3:35pm THE BETFRED NIFTY 50 HANDICAP STAKES (CLASS 5) at Haydock and the 3:55pm THE DUBAI DUTY FREE SHERGAR CUP CLASSIC (CLASS 3 HANDICAP) at Ascot, and the filly ran in the latter.
Permission was given for both Everyoneknowsadave (IRE) and Boston Run (IRE) to wear a red hood to post.
Upon leaving the stalls, Antelope (GB), placed third, jumped sharply right-handed hampering Division Day (GB), unplaced, which in turn bumped Boston Run (IRE), placed fifth, who shifted the winner, Masterinthewoods (IRE), right-handed which inconvenienced Testimonial (GB), unplaced, as a result, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Antelope (GB).
An enquiry was held to consider interference approximately a furlong out involving the winner, Masterinthewoods (IRE), ridden by David Probert and Lever Up (GB), placed fourth, ridden by Sam James.
Probert was cautioned for careless riding as he allowed his mount to shift left-handed towards the rail when insufficiently clear of Lever Up (GB) causing James to take a slight check on the gelding.
Following the race, Duran Fentiman reported that Testimonial (GB), unplaced, suffered interference when leaving the stalls.
