The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages involving Cave Court, ridden by Mr O
McGill, placed first, and Hartur D'arc (FR), ridden by K.M. Donoghue, placed second, where it appeared interference occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Mr. O. McGill said his mount idled in front and felt he did his best to correct his mounts drift. K.M. Donoghue said it got a little tight but he never had to stop riding. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that Mr. O. McGill had taken reasonable steps to avoid causing interference so they took no further action
