The Raceday Stewards enquired into possible interference inside the final furlong involving Aurora Vega, ridden by Mr P.W. Mullins, placed fourth, and Barnahash Primrose, ridden by Mr R.W. Barron, placed third, where it appeared interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Mr. P.W. Mullins stated he received pressure for a few strides and it got a little tight. Mr. R.W. Barron stated his charge drifted for a few strides but he correct her as soon as he felt her drift. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards made no alteration to the Judge’s placings and took no further action
Mr S. Connor, rider of Mongibello (GB), trained by S.R.B. Crawford, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung badly left
