An enquiry was held to consider interference shortly after leaving the stalls involving Wadacre Gomez (GB), placed third, ridden by Billy Loughnane, Lordsbridge Blu (GB)E, unplaced, ridden by Ben Sanderson, Perfectly Timed (GB), unplaced, ridden by Hollie Doyle and Eagle Day (IRE), placed fifth, ridden by Callum Shepherd.
Sanderson was suspended for 5 days for careless riding as he moved very sharply left- handed immediately after leaving the stalls, causing Doyle to take a check and to lose her position, before impeding Levey, who was carried off his intended line, which then moved Shepherd onto Loughnane, who was hampered and forced to give up his position as a result.
Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that CHARLIE’S CHOICE, unplaced, had bled from the nose and that Sari Dubai (USA), unplaced, finished lame on its right fore.
