The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident approximately five furlongs from home involving Drivers Seat (GB), ridden by D.P. McDonogh, placed sixth, and Happy Pharoah, ridden by P.A. Harnett, placed first, where it appeared there was contact between the two. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. D. P. McDonogh stated that he held his line when the horse on his inside wanted to come out. P. A. Harnett stated that he edged out as he wanted more room for his mount who is a very big horse. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards took no further action other than to remind P. A. Harnett to ride with more patience in the future if in a similar situation.
