The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages involving Mathan, ridden by M.W Hassett, unplaced, Wizard Of Odds, ridden by J.A. Powell, placed sixth, Far From Dandy, ridden by J. Kearney, placed fifth, Adrienne, ridden by C.D. Hayes, placed fourth, and Ja'marr (GB), ridden by L.T. McAteer, placed third, where it appeared Mathan got squeezed out and clipped a heel. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. M
W. Hassett stated that things got tight and he clipped a heel. J. A. Powell stated that his mount was getting tired and he kept as straight as he could and corrected as quick as he could. J. Kearney stated that he had no where to go
C. D. Hayes stated that he held his line and received a bump from his inside. L. T. McAteer stated that he kept fairly straight and felt he did not cause any interference. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards did not apportion blame to any rider and took no further action. Mr. John Murphy recused himself from this enquiry.
