Approximately half a furlong out, Delagate This Lord (GB), placed fourth, shifted right-handed away from its rider’s whip, before being corrected, which caused Hierarchy (IRE), placed second, to be taken off its intended line and in turn resulted in a weakening Papabella (GB), unplaced, having to be steadied, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Delagate This Lord (GB).
Following the race, Jim Crowley reported that THURSDAY’S CHILD, placed fifth, was denied a clear run approximately two furlongs out, Rob Hornby reported that Papabella (GB), unplaced, ran too free and Elizabeth Gale reported that Alcazan (GB), unplaced, stopped quickly.
The Veterinary Officer reported that Alcazan (GB) had been struck into on its left-hind.
