Permission was given for Liosa (IRE) and General Assembly (IRE) to go to post early with the latter wearing a red hood; for Kisskodi (IRE), Winter Crown (GB) and Liosa (IRE) to wear a red hood to post with the latter being mounted in the chute.
An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after interference approaching the final furlong involving the winner, Cindy Lou Who (GB), ridden by William Carson, Kisskodi (IRE), placed second, ridden by Jim Crowley and Rogue Bullet (IRE), placed third, ridden by Dylan Hogan.
The Stewards considered that the interference had improved Cindy Lou Who (GB)’s placing, as although Rogue Bullet (IRE) had initially drifted slightly left-handed, the majority of the movement which resulted in Crowley having to stop riding for a number of strides and to be forced to switch around came from Cindy Lou Who (GB), who was drifting right-handed at the time.
Having thereafter obtained clear running, the strongly finishing Kisskodi (IRE) continued to run on to the line to be beaten a fast-diminishing neck.
The Stewards formed the opinion that the loss of momentum and ground suffered by Crowley during the interference was greater than the neck distance and revised the placings as follows: 1st - Kisskodi (IRE), 2nd - Cindy Lou Who (GB), 3rd - Rogue Bullet (IRE), 4th - Winter Crown (GB).
The interference was found to be accidental as the movement from Rogue Bullet (IRE) was minimal in nature, and Carson made sufficient effort to keep his mount from drifting right-handed.
Following the race, Dougie Costello reported that Liosa (IRE), placed fifth, hung right-handed in the closing stages and William Carson reported that Cindy Lou Who (GB), placed second, hung right-handed approaching the final furlong.
