Following the race, Hollie Doyle reported that Almaty Star (IRE), unplaced, anticipated the start and as a result was slowly away and Joey Haynes reported that approximately half a furlong out, Law Of Average (GB), unplaced, jinked sharply left-handed away from the whip and in doing so collided with the running rail.
