THE MAKE THE MOVE TO MIDNITE HANDICAP STAKES (CLASS 5) Permission was given for Woodhay Whisper (IRE) to go early to post and to be mounted on the chute, for Beauzon (GB) to go early to post wearing a red hood and to be mounted on the chute and for Dicko The Legend (IRE) to wear a red hood to post.
Leaving the stalls, Due Date (GB), unplaced, shifted marginally right-handed causing Havana Sky (GB), placed fourth, to become short of room on heels, unbalancing the gelding which in turn, resulted in Initial Blue (IRE), placed third, being shifted right-handed.
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
An enquiry was held to consider interference approximately half a furlong out involving Initial Blue (IRE), placed third, ridden by Hollie Doyle and Mart (GB), unplaced, ridden by Luke Morris.
Doyle was cautioned for careless riding as she allowed Initial Blue (IRE) to drift left-handed without sufficient correction, taking Mart (GB) off its intended line.
Following the race, Billy Garritty reported that Dicko The Legend (IRE), placed fifth, was slowly away and Dylan Hogan reported that Woodhay Whisper (IRE), unplaced, was slowly away.
