Permission was given for Sheephavenbaystory (GB) to go early to post and to be mounted on the chute, for Take The Boat (IRE) to be mounted on the chute and for Snow Creek (IRE), Adelaide Bay (GB) and Olympic Melody (GB) to wear a red hood to post.
An enquiry was held to consider interference on the apex of the first bend involving Sheephavenbaystory (GB), placed fourth, ridden by George Wood, Lady Kilonova (IRE), placed third, ridden by Hollie Doyle and Take The Boat (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Rob Hornby.

Wood was suspended for 3 days for careless riding as he angled Sheephavenbaystory (GB) left-handed towards the rail when insufficiently clear of Lady Kilonova (IRE), moving that runner left-handed forcing Hornby to take a check off its heels, resulting in Take The Boat (IRE) stumbling.
Following the race, Hollie Doyle reported that Lady Kilonova (IRE), placed third, hung right-handed in the home straight.
