Following the race, Jack Doughty reported that Hawajes (IRE), unplaced, was slowly away.
Tom Queally, the rider of Semser (GB), placed fifth, beaten by a neck for fourth place, had appeared to stop riding shortly before the winning post.
After being interviewed and shown recordings of the incident, Queally was suspended for 2 days for failing to take all reasonable and permissible measures to obtain the best possible placing on a horse that could have finished fourth.
