The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident shortly after leaving the backstraight involving Lupin Du Chenet (FR), ridden by Mr J.H. Williamson, placed fifth, Mr Master Mac, ridden by Mr J.L. Gleeson, placed first, and Circus Hill, ridden by Mr D. McGill, placed second, where it appeared Mr Master Mac caught a heel. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Mr. J.L. Gleeson stated that Lupin Du Chenet ran around a small bit in front of him and he clipped a heel. Mr J.H. Williamson stated that he moved in slightly to avoid clipping a heel and felt it was general bunching. Mr D. McGill stated that it got congested but felt it was nobody's fault. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted
