An enquiry was held to consider interference shortly after the start, involving Eliza Bennet (IRE), placed second, ridden by Daniel Muscutt, Sangara (IRE), unplaced, ridden by George Bass, Rajinoora (IRE), placed fourth, ridden by Saffie Osborne and Stella Hogan (IRE), placed third, ridden by Jason Watson.
Muscutt was suspended for 7 days for careless riding as he allowed his mount to drift right- handed when insufficiently clear, causing Bass to take a considerable check against the rail for a number of strides, and as a result caused Osborne and Watson to switch sharply left-handed to avoid heels.
1 ½ furlongs out, the winner, MAHRA’S LOVE (IRE), shifted quickly right-handed, taking Beauty Beyond (GB), unplaced, and Chadleeny (IRE), unplaced, off their intended lines and causing Thundering Breeze (IRE), unplaced, to become short of room, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of MAHRA’S LOVE (IRE).
Following the race, Jason Watson reported that Stella Hogan (IRE), placed third, ran too free, was hampered shortly after the start and denied a clear run in the home straight.
