Having been examined by the Veterinary Officer, the gelding was deemed fit to race.
An enquiry was held to consider interference on the run to the line, involving Young Fire (FR), placed second, ridden by Mark Winn, Copper And Five (GB), placed fourth, ridden by Joanna Mason, the winner, Embarked (IRE), ridden by Mikkel Mortensen and Rock Diva (IRE), placed third, ridden by Jason Hart.
In the first incident, the interference caused by Winn was found to be accidental in that whilst straightening his mount, Young Fire (FR) had stepped to the right further than anticipated, resulting in Mason, who was drifting slightly left-handed, having to check her mount.
In the second incident, Mortensen was suspended for 3 days for careless riding as he had allowed his mount to drift left-handed under a right- hand drive, which caused Hart to become short of room and have to take a check.
