Palavecino (FR), trained by Brian Meehan was declared a non-runner in this race at 09:18 am due to Going.
Meehan was fined £500 as he had made the gelding a non-runner after 9am of the day of racing with no change in the Going since declaration.
An enquiry was held to consider interference inside the final ½ furlong, involving Bell Rock (GB), placed third, ridden by Harry Davies and Faylaq (GB), placed fourth, ridden by P J McDonald.
Davies was suspended for 3 days for careless riding as he had allowed his mount to drift-left handed over a sustained period without sufficient correction, causing McDonald to be taken off his intended line before being forced to check his mount.
Following the race, Harry Davies reported that Bell Rock (GB), placed third, hung left-handed.
