We thought he ran well the first but then you look at the distance he got beaten. He ran very green, and Ben said he’d learn a lot. He’s a horse that needs plenty of work and he’s thrived on his work. I thought he still might need one more race before he was zoned in. The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages of this race involving Krasimir, ridden by J.J.G. Ryan, placed third, and Two Strike, ridden by K.J. Leonard, unplaced, where it appeared Krasimir had to check. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. J. J. G. Ryan stated that he had to switch his line as the horse in front drifted across him. K. J. Leonard stated that his mount became unbalanced and drifted left. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted K.J. Leonard, rider of Two Strike, trained by Diego Dias, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left up the straight.
