Formscan By Tom Weekes - FAOLADH has a wide draw and might prefer drier ground but ran well recently and represents an in-form yard. Although he has won just once from 12 runs, he is able at this level and is now rated just 2lb higher than when scoring at Leopardstown last June. Red Hugh O’Donnell won a soft-ground maiden last May and although he hasn’t been placed in any of his five previous handicap starts, ran well in a higher-rated handicap at Listowel last September, from which the third-placed horse scored next time. Selective Power likes easy ground and ran well enough at Bellewstown while Mythical Rock debuts for new connections having belatedly won in January.

He deserved it after the last day. He got a great ride the last day but just jinked when he hit the front and it probably cost him,. The winner came out and won again since. I thought the three-year-olds had a bit of an advantage with the weight concession. It’s great to win a race with him. He likes being up there on a good pace and he likes good ground. We had owned him ourselves and the lads bought him off me at Christmas. They had a couple of good horses with me. They had An Saighdiur and Sunset Nova, who has retired. I suppose she is getting a little bit older so we just put the headgear on. She travelled really, really well the last day but probably didn't get the mile and Robbie (Colgan), who rode her, she was doing a handstand down at the '2' pole but just kind of got tired. We rode her a bit colder today and Luke gave her a great ride. She loves picking up off the pace and, even when she got into trouble, she still found plenty. She's quite a good filly and there's not many at her age have won 10. It is a lot of winnings, but she has given us a lot of pleasure.

It worked out very well, we couldn’t have thought it any better!. Ground is a big thing for him, he takes a few runs and the cheekpieces were back on - I’m delighted. He’s probably a little bit better than this grade, but it’s just the way it fell. Every time we ran, we were hoping the rain was coming, but it never came. James gave him a great ride. It’s my Dad’s (Paul) syndicate (Urban & Rural Boys Syndicate). He was sick last year and this horse boosted him up no end. They’ve had this syndicate since Molly’s Boy 20 years ago. It’s still going with a few new friends. The other horse was second. We were going to leave him to next week, but the lads are local. I thought he would have needed the run and expect him to improve. We’ve a few horses ready to go, we’ve been waiting for the rain. Hopefully, we can keep going because it’s been frustrating, we had a good few seconds earlier in the year. Hopefully, we can kick on a get a few winners from here to the end of the year.
