This is great as everyone involved has had to be patient. After her run in the Mooresbridge, we said we wouldn't race her again until the ground was soft, as she is really effective on it. We wanted to have her fresh for a good autumn and while it would have been great to find a Group race, this fitted in lovely. She was carrying a penalty, but it was an easy race to watch and she was impressive. We'll swing big now and the Prix de Royallieu on Arc weekend fits in with the timings. That's where we'd love to go and I don't think there is anything suitable in between. After that, we have Champions Day at Ascot and there's also a Group 1 in Germany in November. I wouldn't like to rule out bringing her back in next year, as fillies who like soft ground are so hard to find. She is a queen. Mikey Wilson, from ITV, brought the owners together and they include Emma Palmer, whose Le Breuil won the National Hunt Chase in 2019, and Nick Luck. We are all pals and our first horse Lady Of The Lamp is now at home, and in foal to Sea The Stars.

It is great to see her rewarded. She has been running well in good pots and good handicaps as well. She was always going to do that, win a decent pot and it is great we got it today. The lads (Trouble & Strife Syndicate) came up from Kilkenny. It is great for them and she is a good filly. They enjoy her and knock good craic out of her. Ronan was excellent on her, and he is after twinning the Derby and the Oaks!. We'll see where we go after that, there's plenty of those fillies' handicaps as well too. We will try and keep her to them if we can, see what the handicapper does. She did win well, but she loves that ground. She has won in Gowran Park on soft ground, and she has won on a cut in the ground in Tramore as well. When everything falls right for her, she can be good. She was third in a premier handicap and was placed a good few times, and she is a good, sound filly.

Mr Weld had her last year and she's a new filly to the yard. She probably needed her first run of the season and the step up in trip suited her. We were second in this last year with Elana Osorio who went on to win the Give Thanks (Group 3) at Cork, and I'd like to think this filly has the class to follow a similar trajectory. I'll have a few two-year-old runners at the Curragh this weekend and will be represented in the Pretty Polly Stakes as well.

I’d love to know where this improvement has come from, Ben says the ground is key to her,. She showed it here one night when Yudish rode her, on soft ground she really comes strong. She had been training really well, all the horses are going well. I thought she’d be very competitive here today but that was a very good performance. I was a bit worried where he was early on but he got a beautiful gap up the inside and she quickened up really well. I’m delighted, they are a great bunch of people. Vince O’Driscoll is after travelling over from America and the pressure is always on when he travels!. I don’t think there is anything left for her, she’s been busy. We thought from the first time we got her that she was good. She is a little bit fizzy, and I was a bit afraid first time out that she might boil up a bit, but she didn’t at all. She was very relaxed. I said to Kevin O’Ryan (agent) that I needed a good jockey, and he said Dylan would ride her, but he might have to put up a 1lb over. I said the horse would win and he did the weight. With those sort of fillies you nearly have to go for a stakes race.
