Formscan By Donal Murphy - GINO BELLA would be a deserving winner of this competitive affair. Successful in a point-to-point at Damma House in November, she has been placed three times in four track starts since. Narrowly beaten into second at Cork on her latest outing and drawing well clear of the third, the first time tongue strap that was deployed there remains in place now. Disappointing when bidding to complete a hat-trick at Fairyhouse in February, Our Uncle Jack warrants the utmost respect, while dual winner Silent Selector and Marlpark, who was second here last week, are other leading hopes. With six handicap debutants in the line-up, market trends should be watched closely, particularly when it comes to Blue Train, a UK import who is totally unexposed.

He’s in great form. My son Danny rides him out every day at home and he actually rang Michael Kenneally from his hospital bed as he got a bad fall in a point-to-point on Sunday. He broke ribs and punctured a lung and broke his ankle. He gave Michael his instructions and it was nice to win for him. He takes a bit of a pull and he settled away there in front today. He actually maybe settled a bit better today, he was a bit fresh the last day. Danny has a lot of jumping done with him over fences, and he’s quite good. He was actually going to ride him in a chase at Cork, but got another fall schooling. He went to Clonmel after he didn’t run in that chase.

She's brilliant. She likes all the up and down hill tracks. I decided to leave the hood off her today. I just worked her the other day and she gave me a much better feel. She always gives me a good feel, but this was a different feel without the hood. She's been an absolute star and has won three for us now. She'll probably go over a fence now. She is very small but she does pop a fence very well. She kind of wears her heart on her sleeve and Simon said to me today that he might just bounce out and make it and it worked. She is owned by fantastic people (the ISC Express Syndicate) and I'm very, very lucky to have them. One of them, Derek, is in Australia and he has been absolutely brilliant to me. I rang Harley Dunne looking for a fun horse for a few lads and he recommended this horse, after running in two point to points. The Lads & Eoin Syndicate (owners) was huge at one time but has dwindled down and there are just three of us stuck in him now. He has been disappointing up until now as we thought the world of him from the get-go. I bought him from Will Delaney as he is a half-brother to both Kilcarry Bridge and Kilashee (stablemates) and is out of a half-sister to Hear The Echo. He is a proper little horse and there's no reason he won't go forward now. Shane gave him a peach of a ride and really switched him off in front. He was running a huge race when falling at Fairyhouse - I'm not a huge fan of those new hurdles and I think he would have finished third then. What level this horse is at I'm not sure, but he'll probably go for a rated novice next.
