We felt he was very unlucky the last day in Punchestown when he was only touched off. A few things went wrong and the line just came a little bit quick for him. Today we felt he had improved from the last run but I felt it was a hot bumper. I felt if he finished in the first three of four I'd be happy. Looking at the speed they went off at, it looked like a quick run bumper in my eyes anyway. I think our horse was the only one of the front bunch that stayed there. I thought it was a dead-heat or that we might have been second, especially when Jamie Codd is on the other side of you. I'm very happy to win it and I think he is a nice horse. He likes a bit of good ground and the ground is lovely here. I'd say he'll go to Punchestown for something and then that'll be it. The other horse was a bit unexpected but I thought this lad would be there or thereabouts. Oliver McKiernan, trainer

The Stewards interviewed Mr J.C. Barry, rider of Meet And Greet, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted that he had exceeded the whip guidelines in relation to excessive frequency. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that Mr. J.C. Barry was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his previous clean record into consideration, the Stewards cautioned Mr. J.C. Barry on this occasion

The Stewards interviewed Mr J.J. Codd, rider of Top Bandit (GB), concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted that he had exceeded the whip guidelines in relation to frequency. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that Mr. J.J. Codd was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his previous clean record into consideration, the Stewards cautioned Mr. J.J. Codd on this occasion

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Prize Fighter, trained by W.P. Mullins, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be blowing hard post race otherwise was post race normal

The Stewards interviewed Mr B. O'Neill, rider of Duncreevan, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that he had misjudged the number of times that he had used his whip having given three easy flicks of the whip early in the straight. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that Mr B. O'Neill was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his previous clean record into consideration, the Stewards cautioned Mr. B. O'Neill on this occasion
