Formscan By Shane Redmond - COURT CANYON (1) made a fine start to his chasing career when winning well over a longer trip here in early May. He was up against it when tried in a Grade 3 novice chase at the Galway Festival next time and this might be more his level. The four-year-old Manoir De Mirande was a faller on his chasing debut but he bounced back to pip odds-on favourite Glen Kiln at Fairyhouse recently. He clearly has a chance along with the two-time handicap chase winner Farrokh and Rightfolksplease who got off the mark over fences at Wexford in August and went on to win over hurdles at Tramore just five days later. Claude was successful in a rated novice chase at Cork earlier this month and is another to note.

A nice performance. We always thought he was a good horse. He just had a wee slight hiccup last year, so we gave him a year off. His comeback run (sixth in Downpatrick) was quite good when he made the running and just got tired the last 50 yards. Today worked out fine, Caragh was good on him. Caragh rides a lot of work for us and, a small team like us, we have to repay the people that are good to you. He has schooled over fences and we will probably put him over fences next. He would be a nice horse to go to England with - Willie (Anderson, owner) likes a weekend away in England.
