Formscan By Tom Weekes - DRUCKER scored readily here last month and while he tries this distance for the first time, can continue to progress. His initial success came over 1m2f at today’s venue in April and, last month, he bounced back to form with an easy win. He goes very well on this surface and while this extra distance is an unknown, he won going-away over 1m4f last time. Minella Mate is well suited by this distance and while he has enough weight under his 7lb claimer, possesses good recent form. Satono Chevalier, who chased home the selection in February, was beaten subsequently and now also tries this distance for the first time.

He's tough, he's a Shantou and they keep battling,. He gave him a great ride and he stuck at it. He had good runs and we always said he was a good horse. He got a knocked a little when we schooled him and we just had to take our time with him. He had a good run in Gowran the first day behind a Grade 1 horse. I think he'll be grand. He has a little mark on him, but he's grand. If he's not sold sure it's grand to get a day out with one too. We loaded up whoever was around in the hotel at 4.30am and came on here. He needs that trip and he needs a good gallop,. We thought we were a good thing coming up with all the rain, and then five minutes outside Sligo it was as dry as a bone!. Soft ground is the key to him and he just about got away with it today. It was too quick for him the last day in Gowran and he never got into the race. He's very tough and he will stay further. I'd say two miles might be his trip in the end. We have him schooled and the plan was to go three-year-old hurdling with him, but when he's still competitive on the Flat we'll stay that way with him. The last day the trip beat us and he was unlucky. Really he is a hard ride over 1m4f because you need them to go very hard and they didn't. We thought he was going to be a very nice horse - we bought him from Mick Halford but he was a bit backward and took time to come to hand.
