The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Ard Na Mara, trained by J. S. Bolger, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to have a small nick on its left hind fetlock but to be otherwise post race normal
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Faro Island (GB), trained by A. Oliver, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal. However, it was subsequently reported to the IHRB Veterinary Officer that Faro Island was found to have mucus in its lungs following endoscopic examination
The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident on the first bend involving Drucker (USA), ridden by A.J
Slattery, Candidly, ridden by G.M. Ryan, and Vivacious Lady, ridden by R.P. Whelan where it appeared Drucker got tight for room momentarily. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. A.J. Slattery stated that it got tight momentarily and he let a shout to the riders. G.M. Ryan stated that he maintained his racing line. R.P. Whelan stated that he got a shout and kept his line then. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
