Formscan By Mark Nunan - JAZZY ROCK is from a family that the Casey family has enjoyed a lot of success with over the years and the daughter of Red Jazz has shown improvement in her last couple of starts at Navan. Having travelled well, she was caught late in a 21-runner handicap over 1m6f last time and may be suited by dropping back in trip. She handled soft ground at Navan so may be able to cope with even more testing conditions. Katonah was second over this trip on heavy ground at Listowel before racing a bit too keenly when fifth at Bellewstown. If settling more effectively, she is likely to contend and Colin Keane knows her well. Special Protector is another Tim Doyle inmate that has been running well in recent starts but her stamina for 1m4f is unproven. Likewise Grann's Boy, placed over 1m2f on his last two starts, is another that is not sure to get home over this longer distance.
