Formscan By Shane Redmond - BLUE BOLT (1) is one of the stars of the show and will be a popular pick as she bids for a third straight Group 1 success in her four-year-old season. She saw off this afternoon's rival Precise to win both the Falmouth Stakes at Newmarket in July and the Prix Rothschild at Deauville last month and will come out on top if performing to that level again. Precise, a four-time Group 1 winner in all, captured this year's Tattersalls Irish 1,000 Guineas and the Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot. She continues to hold her form well and looks second best ahead of her Newmarket 1,000 Guineas winning stable companion True Love who was tried over six furlongs last time. Fallen Angel, a winning favourite in this race last year, faces a much stiffer task this time.
For three years old and upwards fillies onlyWeights - 3-y-o 9st 2lbs 4-y-o and up 9st 7lbs.

Quotes on Carolina Jetstream (GB)
She finished fourth in a Listed race (Dundalk, November) and we were unlucky not to get black type that day. Probably she will go to Newcastle as well, for the mile. I will try and get black type with her next season. When she learns how to race, I think she will stay a mile and two no problem. At the moment, she needs to run over seven or a mile because she is a little bit fresh. When she drops her head, I think a mile and two will be no problem. Last time Billy (Lee) said she did a little bit too much and she was a little bit free and fresh, so he said to drop her to seven furlongs. I think there is a lot of improvement when she matures, definitely. After Carolina Jetstream (GB) finished 1st at Dundalk on Fri, 16th Jan 2026 7f Flat Standard

Quotes on City Of Memphis (IRE)
I like this race as it is a suitable one for the type of filly we train. This filly came from Katie Walsh as a breezer and, to be fair, the breeze-ups have been very good to us and I came from that sphere myself. Alan (O’Flynn, member of the family syndicate) said to target the breeze-ups from the get-go and he has been very lucky and is getting his reward. I actually had her in the Guineas in the winter (of 2024-25), took her out in April and then put her back in at the cost of €50,000, to get €15,000 for finishing fifth but thankfully he forgave me! She is a classy filly and it worked out today. After her Guineas run, I said that we’d leave her alone until her four-year-old year and I’d say she is now a Group One filly. She won’t go to Ascot but I’ll be looking at races like the Prix Maurice De Gheest, Prix Rothschild, the Matron, as well as the Breeders’ Cup Mile, those kind of races. After City Of Memphis (IRE) finished 1st at Curragh on Sun, 24th May 2026 1m Flat Good

Quotes on Duckadilly (IRE)
She was my first winner as a licenced trainer and, as I said the last time, every year she has put me on the map. She won a rated race last year and, obviously she got her stakes win in a Listed race at the start of this year. She has really let down into herself this year and, as the saying goes with fillies when they get older, they do tend to improve. It's brilliant to get a Listed race at the start of the year and, to win a Group race, for value and everything else, even my training career it's brilliant. I won't say it's unbelievable because it is believable when you work for it. All the lads in the yard, they work very hard and it's just reward for all them. It makes you get up every day when you love what you're doing. Chris (Mullins) was the first man to have a horse with me. He had Bold Optimist at the start as well. He has supported me all the way. When I was starting off with three horses, he was with me. So, it's only rewarding that he is the owner of my first Group winner. Long may it last. She's in the Matron Stakes again. We learned how to ride her from how she ran in it last year. She deserves a crack at it again and that would be her main target. After Duckadilly (IRE) finished 1st at Leopardstown on Thu, 9th Jul 2026 7f Flat Good

Quotes on Fallen Angel (GB)
She’s so tough; very, very honest, and James gave her a great ride. It just took a few rides to get to know her. You just can’t pull her around; you’ve just got to let her go. She should be staying a mile-and-a-quarter really but we’re probably better off being aggressive over a mile, I think. I’m absolutely delighted for everybody. I thought we were beat a furlong out when Exactly came to us and then I saw her get her head down, and James got stuck into her. Whenever Danny (Tudhope) rode her as a two and three-year-old he always said she was waiting for a smack to tell her. She’s one of those who waits and waits but when she gets a smack she always gives it to you. We felt that she needed them (cheekpieces) this time around. She got very lackadaisical in her work at home. She needed the run in the Lockinge first time out. I said to Richard Brown that I’d work her in sheepskins and see how she goes, and she worked very well. You could tell they sharpened her up and they certainly work. She’ll probably go for the Sun Chariot if she’s okay and then we could take the boys on in Champions Day at Ascot. After Fallen Angel (GB) finished 1st at Leopardstown on Sat, 13th Sep 2025 1m Flat Good to Yielding

Quotes on Meriden (GB)
We always knew she was okay but she’s improved with every run. It’s worked out lovely, she’s just stepped up every time. She’s done a lot very quick, it’s massive what she’s done in six or seven weeks. You’d have to look at a Group 3 with her next. She’s beat a good filly there. Chris knows her well and he had said to me that she mightn’t like this place as she can lean left. She’s entered at Ascot next weekend on his recommendation but it might come a bit soon. I just love her attitude; I was riding her out all week thinking that she had sharpened up from the Curragh. I haven’t been dipping her, because she’s running so much you can’t empty her at home. To me just cantering it felt like she had improved. He whole attitude is just so good. It’s the hottest day of the year and there is not an ounce of sweat out of her. She saddled really professional. She just does everything well and had a real good mind. She is exciting to have. She’s a class filly. I have to thank Paul O’Brien and Paul Shanahan for giving her to me.After Meriden (GB) finished 1st at Killarney on Wed, 15th Jul 2026 1m Flat Good

Quotes on Pivotal Attack (GB)
This is a big relief as sometimes you are left wondering, am I praying to the right Gods! We had been placed in premier handicaps and group races, but have had no winner. It is like going to the mart and not getting any money for a calf. We were delighted with the way she ran at Killarney and hopefully this will turn the corner. In racing, you live with it and celebrate the good days. They'll eventually come back to form and my owners are forgiving as well, and have stayed loyal. We only have 35 horses, so to compete at that level in Ireland is very hard and then you see the entries for a stakes race with 58 two-year-olds, and 42 of them are O'Brien's. That's the way racing has gone and we're like the darts player with only one dart to throw. We don't know why the horses were out of form although we do have this new transition of vaccinating horses every six month, instead of nine, which might have had a bearing on it. Maybe we have to manage that a bit better. After Pivotal Attack (GB) finished 1st at Galway on Thu, 30th Jul 2026 7f Flat Good to Yielding

Quotes on Precise (IRE)
She really stepped forward today and Wayne gave her a beautiful ride. In Newmarket, Ryan was on the 'wrong' side and when he made his move, she got tired, needed the run and Ryan looked after her in the last half-furlong. Roger (Quinlan), who rides her every day, said this morning that she was a different filly than the one going to Newmarket. Wayne gave her a beautiful ride and we're over the moon. We were talking on the way to the races and Annemarie (wife) said how much stamina is in the pedigree and she is out of a really good and genuine Galileo-mare. Obviously the lads (Coolmore syndicate) will make the decision regarding running in the English Oaks so we'll say how she comes out of today. There is a good chance she'll run and Ryan (Moore) felt today that she was running, to go to the Oaks. It is a very exciting and she has an incredible pedigree. It is very difficult on Ryan and we discussed riding arrangements before declaration time. It was very hard for him not to ride True Love and while he didn't ride her in Newmarket because we weren't sure she would get a mile, but she did. Precise was only beaten five lengths at Newmarket, which isn't that much for this type of filly but she is a serious one and is as good as we've had. It looks like she will have no problem going further. After Precise (IRE) finished 1st at Curragh on Sun, 24th May 2026 1m Flat Good
