Last season's Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf winner winner reappeared in the 2,000 Guineas at Newmarket and moved clear with the winner before giving best in the closing stages. Distant Storm, who has been chalked up as second favourite behind Gstaad for this assignment, was some some eight lengths behind him in third at Newmarket, so it is hard to see that form overturned despite the first-time cheekpieces and his solid overall form.
