The Raceday Stewards enquired into possible interference in the final furlong involving Nil Bua Gan Dua (USA), ridden by D. Browne McMonagle, placed fourth, Resurgence, ridden by S. Foley, placed second, and Take Charge Star, ridden by B.M. Coen, placed third, where it appeared interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. D. Browne McMonagle stated that he received slight contact but felt it was very minor
S. Foley stated that his mount ran very green and rolled both ways. B.M. Coen stated that his mount was slow to fill the gap when it appeared and got no run. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards made no alteration to the Judge’s placings and took no further action
J.M. Sheridan, rider of Thread Of Gold, trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that he had to check off heels a furlong and a half down. Having viewed the recording of the race, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted
S. Foley, rider of Resurgence, trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran very green under pressure
B.M. Coen, rider of Take Charge Star, trained by J.P. Murtagh, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got no run.
