Formscan By Alan Magee - MERLIN GIANT filled the runner-up spot behind Dads Lad on his last Flat start in a maiden at last summer’s Galway Festival before winning a maiden hurdle at Ballybrit three days later. He went on to land a valuable handicap on the Hatton’s Grace card at Fairyhouse but hasn’t set the world alight in two hurdle outings this spring. Presumably all roads lead back to Galway but this looks a decent opportunity with Colin Keane booked. Impero enters calculations on his third to Taipan and HMS Seahorse at Listowel, while Knight Sleeper made an encouraging start at Sligo and may progress over this longer trip.
