Quotes on Powerful Nation (IRE)
He hit the front a long way out, which he doesn't like as he idles in front so I think he won very easily. ,. We knew he'd come on from Naas and I think he'll improve from today. We didn't abuse him as a two-year-old and trained him so he would improve. I was a bit worried when I saw the shower of rain and, while I have never run him on soft, he always gives us the impression that he is a fast-ground horse. I had a few races picked out for him, he'll go for the Sapphire Stakes next and it'll all lead to the Flying Five (Curragh Group 1 in September). That and the Prix de l'Abbaye (Longchamp) are the dream races and he is a great horse to have. After Powerful Nation (IRE) finished 1st at Cork on Fri, 13th Jun 2025 5f Flat Good to Yielding

Quotes on Thunderbear (IRE)
He hit the line strong and was an impressive winner. They are his conditions — six furlongs, some juice in the ground and a strongly-run race. It was a lovely ride as well and James was patient. It’s lovely as he’s a homebred and owned by Will Armitage and my parents. He’s a real character of a horse and a favourite in the yard. He pops up every year and owes us nothing. He seems best kept fresh for the autumn. We went to Doncaster at the backend of last season and may go there again as Will is based over there. After Thunderbear (IRE) finished 1st at Naas on Sat, 11th Oct 2025 5f Flat Yielding

Quotes on King Cuan (GB)
Going to the Curragh I thought he'd run a big race and things didn't happen right that day. I gave him time to mature and to fill his frame and he confirmed today what he did in May. I think he enjoyed it and he is a quick horse. We are lucky to have some nice two-year-olds and I'd rate him with them. There is a €100,000 race (Goffs Sportsman's Challenge) next weekend at Naas for him and his owners are mostly Naas-based.After King Cuan (GB) finished 1st at Cork on Wed, 6th Sep 2023 6f Flat Good

Quotes on Soldier's Tree (IRE)
This is like a dream really! You couldn't write it, could you?. She rode her first winner for us, and we are trying to get her going. She's my granddaughter, so you do your best for your own family. He's out of Maontri who won four Friday nights here (in 2014). She went from 59 to 98. She got a bit of an injury after that. That's the way she used to run. She used to have a green hood on her, and you'd see the green hood heading off in front. We said we would do the same thing with him - jump out, hope for the best, and we knew he would stay going. We think he is a good horse, and this is the icing on the cake for your granddaughter to ride a winner. I see no problem (on turf). We might get him in a big race off a light weight, and Orla could ride him. That's what we have in mind as Orla can ride off bottom-weight. We'll enjoy tonight! After Soldier's Tree (IRE) finished 1st at Dundalk on Fri, 23rd Jan 2026 7f Flat Maiden Standard

Quotes on Unique Journey (IRE)
He’s a nice horse. I was delighted the ground change to soft because he is a Caravaggio and he actually grows a leg on soft ground,. We were very confident today. I had Colin Keane back on board, he won on him by seven-and-a-half lengths (at Naas back in April). He got a 16lb rise then so he said he owed us one!. He is in the October Horses-in-Training Sale. I’d be sorry to lose him because I think he’d be a good four-year-old as well. He’s going the right way. I’d say there is a big premier handicap in him. I’d be sorry to let him go but we’ll put a good reserve on him. I bought two nice yearlings and somebody has to pay for them! After Unique Journey (IRE) finished 1st at Curragh on Thu, 16th Oct 2025 6f Flat Hcap Yielding

Quotes on Navassa Island (IRE)
She's a filly we've always liked and I'm delighted for her owner Abdullah. He bought this filly after her debut run at Naas,. We went to Ascot thinking we had a live one and things just didn't happen for her, with the way the race panned out. That can happen with a two-year-old, being so inexperienced going there. Things didn't work out the last day again but she's come out of that, back to six and she's finished out her race lovely. Dylan gave her a lovely ride. She looks like a filly that will continue to improve, she doesn't over-race and she settles and relaxes. She came home well and we're delighted for everyone. Dylan said he was going to get her to relax, get her behind something, and if he was happy with what was in front of him he was just going to follow. She's in the Debutante but it might be a little bit soon because she's actually starting to grow a little bit. We'll see what happens, we might step up in grade and stay at six. A faster run race might suit her. She's has black-type already, she's won her maiden, so now it's about trying to win a stakes race. Something like the Firth Of Clyde could be a race for her, she handles a little ease in it. She should be able to go and win her stakes race, she's a sister to a Group 1 winner (Lezoo) so it's all about adding to that now. After Navassa Island (IRE) finished 1st at Curragh on Sun, 13th Aug 2023 6f Flat Maiden Good

Quotes on Chicago Call (IRE)
We thought he ran well the first but then you look at the distance he got beaten. He ran very green, and Ben said he’d learn a lot. He’s a horse that needs plenty of work and he’s thrived on his work. I thought he still might need one more race before he was zoned in.
