Formscan By Tom Weekes - It is unusual for Willie Mullins to have two smart horses in the same maiden hurdle but with Ruby Walsh seemingly siding with AL BOUM PHOTO, he is the default choice over French import Caro Des Flos, which is also declared to run. AL BOUM PHOTO didn’t look any star when third on debut at Fairyhouse in December but nonetheless ran with promise having travelled well through his race. He drops back in trip here and should be winning his maiden hurdle soon. Caro Des Flos has himself already won and lost a maiden hurdle in his native France, having been disqualified (for interference) from first place when last seen at Pau in January 2016. He clearly has plenty ability but how he will run here is hard to gauge. Lachares was bought for E6,000 at Goffs last September, having failed to win in three French flat starts. He ran well in an ordinary maiden hurdle at Limerick latest, clearly goes on testing ground and looks sure to place. Shakeytry has a hood on for his debut run and is probably best watched for now.
