Today’s rider again claims, albeit just 5lbs today, but he also receives a winners’ penalty from Timi Roli. Timi Roli won on his only French flat start and himself ran with plenty credit at Cork in November. He merely needs to reproduce that promising effort to have sound claims and if he improves, looks very capable of winning. Icario, a 4yo, ran with promise when runner-up on his latest start at Punchestown. The form of that race is possibly a little lesser though but while he is capable of progressing, also shoulders a winners’ penalty. Allardyce showed ability in two bumpers last season but makes his seasonal reappearance here and in a first-time hood.
